Callie Sour is a photographer, performer, and sculptural artist from Appalachia, currently based in Portland, Oregon. She is interested in exploring themes of alternate realities, imposed doctrines, and spectacle. Callie founded the Photography Club at the Pacific Northwest College of the Arts in the Spring of 2024, where she serves as President while pursuing her degree in Photography.

Callie’s background in theater has greatly influenced her process, and all of the sculptural elements of her work are disassembled after to be used for later sets and sculptures. She enjoys working with non-conventional materials like building micro-sculptures by growing funguses and molds or taking portraits of toilets for her ongoing toilet typography. Filth is of deep interest to Callie, not because she aims to elevate trash, but because she is deeply interested in how we treat the things and situations we have discarded, like rats and hags.
